I've learned that life is like a series of peaks and valleys. We must keep moving through this terrain, or else we cannot grow. When we're on a peak, we can see for miles and miles, and breathe fresh, clean air. Then we're forced to quickly descend down a slippery slope into a nadir. From here it looks pretty dismal, and there's not much light getting through. The air is stagnant and mouldy. And it is a long, arduous struggle up the other side. But this struggle, my friends, is the essence of life. This struggle makes the view from the top all the more worthwhile, and perhaps the harder we climb the longer we're able to bask in the glory of the light.
